what gets MEASURED gets done

“You’d never look around the office, see smiling faces and think, “Well, I guess our profitability is fine” and this books shows why it matters to measure DEI in the same rigorous, impartial way you measure other critical business objectives.

I cannot imagine an effective DEI work without measuring DEI data. I recommend this book - “Inclusalytics” by Victoria Mattingly, Sertrice Grice and Allosion Goldstein to everyone who agrees and disagrees with that. It doesn’t only prove how important collecting data is but also shows what to focus on, having the results, to give you the best picture of your DEI landscape.

To be able to honesty answer and communicate:

  • Where are we as an organisation?

  • WHO are we?

  • How our employees perceive inclusion vs how underrepresented groups perceive it?

  • What are the areas we need to put our focus on?

  • Are we making progress where we had identify we wanted to advance?

…to name a few areas that are essential to have a good picture of for DEI advancement.

What other important DEI related questions are you asking and hope to get an answer to to advance your DEI work?
