What works for gender equality - book recommendation

If I had to recommend ONE book to someone who wants to understand better #gender inequality and debunk some myths around effectiveness of some interventions in DEI work, I’d recommend “What works” by Iris Bohnet.

This book is gold 🥇

For those of you, who (like me) love:

🔹 scientific foundation behind arguments what drives and prevents gender inequality and effective DEI work in general

🔹 connecting research-based insights with practical interventions on real-life examples from different types of organizations

🔹 good #storytelling

…I can assure you will have a great time reading it.

What am I taking from it?

💡 practical, evidence-based information about which #womenempowerment programs and processes related to it actually work and which don’t despite good PR they have

💡confirmation that DEI #trainings that I’ve designed and run contain all the elements that are proven to be the most effective ones

💡 a couple of strong arguments for discussion about gender equality and #meritocracy

Have you read it already? What’s your opinion?
