we are all wok in progmess - on perfection in dei

“Dora, this whole posting on LinkedIn is beyond my capacity.”

“I can’t keep up with that pressure of polished pictures and captivating content.”

“I'm scared that people will judge me that I said something incorrect.”

This is how I could summarize my recent talks with colleagues who try to create valuable content on LinkedIn and to share their expertise but who are on a verge of giving up.

I spend this week in Warsaw on what I could call "a training marathon",
including three trainings with managers on inclusive leadership.

Strikingly, I see parallels in those discussions.

We all strive for flawlessness, afraid to reveal our vulnerabilities.

We are so scared to show 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣.

We so much don’t want to be seen as a work in progMESS.

So we often end up doing nothing, respectively - as leaders and as professionals who have so much to share.

I refuse to succumb to this pressure.

In fact, today I'm inviting you behind the scenes, from my window sill „office” in a Warsaw's Airbnb flat, during an online training session for C-suite.

We don’t need perfect creators, perfect trainers, perfect leaders.

We need people who are willing to show up at the stage and dare to try, dare to fail and try again.

Let's not allow this fear of failure to hold us back, to stifle our progress and to keep us from trying.

What are your thoughts?

Do you recall a moment when embracing imperfection actually led to a better
outcome or deeper connection, either personally or professionally?
