Today, I'd like to recommend you one that I think you might enjoy.

Whether you're already familiar with the Implicit Association Test (IAT)* and have taken it before or have yet to hear about it, I highly recommend listening to the "Revealing your unconscious" podcast at Hidden Brain.

It explores the story that led to developing the IAT and its impact on understanding our unconsciousbias.

It's an interview with Mahzarin Banaji, who is one of the co-authors of the IAT,  and she shares fascinating insights on the test's development and the role of the studies on implicit memory that contributed to it.

There is a long introduction about Mahzarin so if you're a bit impatient to dive straight into the part about the test, it starts around 20' of the podcast.

Overall, I highly recommend this podcast to anyone interested in understanding how our unconscious biases works. It's a thought-provoking listen that may encourage you to take the test if you haven’t done it already and examine your own biases.

For those unfamiliar with the test:

*The IAT was developed over 20 years ago by Mahzarin Banaji, Anthony Greenwald, and Brian Nosek to examine biases in various areas of identity, such as race, #gender, age, sexual orientation, or physique. It tests the difference between consciously stated attitudes and our unconscious beliefs, which can guide our behavior in ways we may not even be aware of.

By taking the IAT, individuals can gain a better understanding of their own
implicit biases and work towards addressing them. The podcast explains the research behind the IAT and its potential applications in various fields, from education to law enforcement.
