Words are our most inexhaustible source of magic - on inclusive communication
„Words are our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.”
It’s with the words of one of the most famous professors – prof. Albus Dumbledore from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry 😉 that I could summarize my speech at the stage of Teatr Capitol Warszawa on the principles of inclusive communication at the IC Mobile (Internal Communication) meeting last week.
It was a great pleasure to reflect with great participants in charge of internal communication in their organizations on the apparent neutrality of language and on our power in creating spaces for inclusion, through communication. Thank you Lidia Skrzyniecka, Katarzyna Kryńska and Magdalena Kuropieska - Deloff (she / her) for the invitation!
It was also great to learn from other speakers: Julia Bieleninik, Karol Grad, Mikołaj Jóźwiak, Karolina Kuźmicz, Radosław Mechło, Anna Mikułowska, Aleksandra Smyczyńska, P.hd., Izabela Stadniczeńko (she/her) and others.
Thank you for generiously sharing about your great projects and ways you engage with employees in your organizations. Special thanks to Michał Knapik and Izabela Dusza for great talks also in coffee breaks!
Congratulations also to internal communication champions.
Inclusive communication is an incredibly powerful magic that makes people feel they belong. Let's use the power of our roles but also the power of our personal commitments, to amplify and include all voices, together 💙
