Diversity month opening

I hadn’t expected to feel this emotion at a conference, but it was undeniably present.

I felt moved.

What touched me so much?

The impassioned words of Anna Strzałkowska from the Instytut Miast Praw Człowieka, highlighting the impact of the past eight years of politics on human rights in Poland, and the pivotal role of business in upholding and advancing DEI standards.

Her words fostered a sense of solidarity with the countless people in all sectors in Poland who genuinely CARE about equality, dedicating themselves daily to dismantling barriers.

In DEI it’s easy and tempting to always focus on how much still needs to be done.

I see it too…

…and at the Opening of the Diversity Month by Responsible Business Forum / Forum Odpowiedzialnego Biznesu, I felt also how far we’ve all come.

The projects honored with the Diversity Chart Prize were truly remarkable and I felt a swell of pride seeing projects from both clients and friends being recognized 💙 Congratulations to all initiatives, also those not selected.

I was also happy to see so many familiar faces (and get to know new people) and have this moment of joy of doing this DEI work, in Poland, together.
