How would my organization look like, if everyone behaved like me?

"How would my organization look like, if everyone behaved like me?"

I’ve read this sentence some time ago and it went straight into my heart.

"It’s the HR’s role. It’s the managers’ role. It’s the CEO’s role."




That’s often what we think.

💭 But let’s imagine that, for one day, you had the power to put YOUR OWN behavior, in the context of DEI, as the company's standard.

Would you really enjoy it?

💭 How would onboarding of a new team member go if everyone was as inclusive as you are for your new colleagues?

💭 How would the meetings look like if everyone behaved as inclusive as you, based on how much you listen to your colleagues, how much space you give to other voices, how open you are to new perspectives?

💭 How equitable would the organization be, based on how you take decisions, involve people in projects, support colleagues in their task?

💭 How diverse would it be based on your own, direct circle of people who you ask for advice and you make an active effort to get to know better?

Inclusive leadership is not exclusively for people with “senior”, “manager” or “executive” in their job title. 

Inclusive leadership is a task for everyone to find, in every situation an opportunity to make a change, without waiting for someone else to do it.
