As a DEI #trainer I sometimes end up collecting some pretty weird things.

I'm always on the lookout for examples of:

🔹 #microaggressions
🔹 non-inclusive language communication
🔹 biased behaviors

…that I can use in the workshops.

Reading novels, watching people in cafes, listening to other passengers on trams, browsing the aisles of a supermarket… sometimes frantically searching for my phone or a piece of paper to jot down a good example.

Seemingly mundane items, like different colors of ban-aids,  for me are precious proves on how biased our societies are, and that they spark a great conversation during a workshop.

Recently, I put together a set of Punt Kicking Cards that feature different examples of microaggressions.

I'm excited to use these cards today at a #workshop to encourage discussions around how micro-communications can be transformed into more inclusive behaviors and where this conversation can lead us.
