DEI PRACTITIONERS are as long-distance runners

Burnout is a complex and often ongoing process for many DEI practitioners.

Observing how DEI work is being addressed in Poland, I believe we will face a real crisis in this profession in the next few years.

Just as we tend say that “DEI journey is not a sprint, it’s a marathon” people involved in the DEI should see themselves as long-distance runners that need to check-in with themselves at self-imposed pit-stops.

Because aside from all the knowledge, strategic thinking, interpersonal competences and what not - self awareness, self-careand self-compassion are also crucial but underestimated skills of DEI practitioners.
