People who witness microaggressions and people who experience them often give the same reasons for not confronting aggressors:

• safety,

• fear of consequences,

• not recognizing that the act was micro-aggressive.

The important factor was also the #seniority of the aggressor and that is why it’s particularly important, especially for #leaders and people in senior positions, to be #allies and model the behavior.

Today I prepared the graphic to show how everyone, no matter the level of seniority, can act as an ally when witnessing microaggresions.
